Backing Track
John’s Notes; No introduction needed for “My Heart Will Go On” the theme tune to James Cameron’s 1997 global hit “Titanic”. I’ve arranged it in the original Key of E Major (The key changes to Ab after the bridge) and have created a backing track (personal plug -which I think is probably the best backing track I’ve ever recorded on my keyboard so far)! This arrangement is full of nuances, slides and bends to practice your techniques. Try to play with feeling throughout. Your guitar is an ideal instrument to capture the emotion of this tune - let it sing! No instrumental “Power Ballad” set list would be complete without this beautiful and powerful tune. Practice each phrase, and when up to tempo play along with the backing.
TAB & ‘one to one’ tuition available to members).
Solo Guitar
Rhythm Guitar
Rhythm Guitar
Rhythm Guitar supplies the background harmony whether on it’s own or with other instruments. Practice along with the Backing Track on the website first to get your chord changes and timing ‘spot on’ before playing along with the melody (either a singer or instrument). NOTE: The rhythm guitar would not normally be played this loud. It would be mixed withinin the backing harmony. This video is for lesson purpose only.
